Overview
For vehicle converters, electrical system integration can take up a surprisingly large proportion of build time. It's not just the physical installation, but the admin involved in procurement... an inverter from one supplier, battery management and protection from another, sockets from a third and cables from elsewhere means multiple purchase orders, multiple warranties, on top of the hours spent mounting, wiring and tidying components that end up looking slightly different in every vehicle.
For a vehicle converter aiming for efficiency and high-quality standards, this is precious time wasted - time better spent elsewhere on the build.
Project Details
We designed a the PowerBoard, a pre-built assembly that brings the electrical package together into a single, ready-to-fit unit:
- Kisae Technology Pure Sinewave Inverter, in 600W, 1000W or 2000W, 12V or 24V
- Merlin Power PowerGuard high-current flat battery protection
- RCD-protected double socket
- Protective, custom-branded metal cover
Everything arrives pre-wired, fused and finished, so the fitter is handling one component rather than a collection of parts. Installation comes down to two wires: mount the backing board, take your fused positive to the battery protection device and your negative to the inverter. That's the job done. It also means the work no longer has to sit with an auto electrician, because anyone on the installation team can fit it

The Result
The first PowerBoard is now installed in the Vansform demo vehicle, which made its public debut at RTX 2026 as part of the launch of Vansform , the new conversions business within Alloy Bodies Ltd.
The board does exactly what it was designed to do: a faster fit, a neater install, and a factory-finished appearance that stands up to being shown to customers on a demo vehicle.

With three inverter sizes and 12 or 24 volts, PowerBoard can be matched to the build rather than the other way round. The standard cover is black with Merlin branding, and we can produce custom colours with your logo laser-cut into the metal, so the electrical system carries your name too.
