Merlin Power worked with Safe Response to build a bespoke power system for their demonstrator vehicle that would appear at The Emergency Fleet Exhibition & NAPFM Conference later in the year.
The Challenge
Safe Response required a vehicle power solution that could:

For public sector fleet operators and OEMs, maintaining continuous, dependable power is critical — particularly for emergency response vehicles, utility fleets, and defence transport systems.
The Solution
Merlin Power engineered a custom-built electrical system tailored to Safe Response’s operational requirements. Designed as a “fit-and-forget” power management solution, it automatically maintains battery charge and supports multiple renewable inputs -ensuring vehicles stay mission-ready without manual intervention.
To streamline integration for OEM engineers and upfitters, Merlin supplied easy-to-follow installation schematics and a modular wiring diagram covering every system component.
The system featured:
Fullriver DC Series Batteries: for increased capacity.
DC-DC Chargers: to maintain optimal charge levels.
Flexible Solar Panels: to generate reliable, renewable energy.
Battery Guards: to protect against low voltage issues.

At this year’s NAPFM Conference, Merlin’s Technical Sales Executive, Rich, joined the Safe Response team to present the live demonstrator vehicle.
