SmartGauge is widely renowned to be the world's most accurate battery monitoring technology. It is a 12V/24V battery monitor that shows your auxiliary battery’s voltage and state of charge, plus the voltage of a secondary battery e.g., an engine start battery. No. You should never need to reset your SmartGauge. The only setting you choose is the battery type. SmartGauge automatically adjusts for battery ageing, lost capacity and Peukert’s effect.

Even when you change your battery, there is no need to reset your SmartGauge, unless your are changing your battery chemistry or type.

Yes. Connect it to a SmartBank Advanced with the RJ11 lead (provided with the SmartBank Advanced). SmartGauge sets up the split charging for your battery type. It then shows split charge status, reports faults and adds an emergency-parallel function for starting the engine from the auxiliary bank.

SmartGauge can monitor up to two battery banks:

• Battery 1: the main auxiliary battery bank - voltage and state of charge. This single bank can consist of multiple batteries up to a capacity of 2000 Ah.
• Battery 2: a secondary auxiliary bank or engine-start battery - voltage monitoring.

Both banks must be the same nominal voltage, either both 12V or both 24V, and share a common negative connection.
